Road

Route #1 runs through the Charlotte Coastal Region in an east/west direction. Currently, this highway is 68% four-lane (2008) between St. Stephen and Sussex, N.B., where it joins Route 2, the Trans Canada Highway, which is four-lane to Moncton, N.B. and onto Halifax, N.S.
